Located within the landmark new Sydney Fish Market, GetFish has been designed to redefine the traditional seafood retail experience. Konnos partnered with the GetFish team to create a contemporary destination that seamlessly blends premium seafood retail with casual dining, delivering a space that is both operationally efficient and memorable for customers.

A key objective was to reflect the family's history and connection to the seafood industry, creating a space that feels genuine to their story rather than simply themed around it. Warm timber detailing, refined stone surfaces and clean architectural lines establish an environment that is contemporary, welcoming and enduring. In collaboration with Australian artist Sid Tapia, bespoke hand-painted artwork was integrated throughout the space, introducing an authentic layer of craftsmanship that reinforces the family's heritage and connection to the sea. Every design decision was carefully considered to support the customer journey, from the retail displays and takeaway experience to the adjoining Big Fish dining space.

Beyond aesthetics, the project focused on creating a highly functional environment capable of accommodating the demands of a busy fresh food destination while reinforcing GetFish's reputation for quality, freshness and exceptional customer service. The result is a sophisticated retail and hospitality environment that reflects both the evolution of the GetFish brand and the significance of its new home within one of Australia's most iconic public destinations.
